Former Coronation Street actor Sean Ward is reportedly hoping to leave the cobbles behind with a new move to Los Angeles following his devastating split from Georgia May Foote.
The pair, who have deleted all pictures of each other from their social media accounts, dated for seven months after meeting on the set of the ITV drama.
But less than two weeks after Sean was in the audience to see her dance in the Strictly Come Dancing final, Georgia was spotted spending New Year’s Eve with her dance partner Giovanni Pernice.
Now 27-year-old Sean is hoping a focus on his career will help him to move on after revealing to friends that ‘he feels like a total mug’ after supporting Georgia throughout the show.
‘Sean is going to put some distance between what has happened,’ a source told The Mirror. He feels like a total mug.’ The actor, who also starred in BBC drama Our Girl, is hoping that by making new contacts he can ‘reinvent’ himself like many other British stars.
‘He never liked the fact he went from being a Corrie killer to Georgia’s boyfriend,’ added the source.
